Main applications

This section presents tools for a quick evaluation (in terms of final consumer protection) and optimization of materials including a functional barrier. The safety of the functional barrier is tested during processing and storage in simple typical cases (all layers are made from the same polymer, no losses during processing...) and conservative assumptions.

• Process assesses the diffusion during processing (extrusion and cooling).

• Storage assess the diffusion through the functional barrier during storage.
