Aim and physical principles

This program simulates the migration of different pollutants (with different diffusion coefficients D_P) from recycled plastic films (thickness l_P) into food during time t.
The pollutants are initially located within the layer A of a trilayer film noted BAB, where layer B is a virgin polymer with a relative thickness fb.
You can simulates in almost real times any combination of the four parameters. Two parameters are tested wihtin a precribed range of values while the two others remain constant.

Assumptions:

  • diffusive mass transport
  • one side contact
  • no external resistance between the plastic material and the food (
  • no partition coefficient between the plastic material and the food (100% of migration at equilibrium)
